Director, Executive Chairman
Brian Bayley
Brian Bayley is knowledgeable in areas of asset backed lending, corporate restructuring, natural resources and real estate. From June 2003 to July 2013, Mr. Bayley held various positions including CEO and President and Director of Quest Capital Corp., a predecessor company to Sprott Resource Lending Corp. (a publicly traded resource lending company). Prior to his positions with Quest Capital Corp., Mr. Bayley worked with the Vancouver Stock Exchange, now the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Bayley has held active senior management positions in both private and public natural resource companies and has over 33 years of public issuer experience both as a director and officer. Stewart Robertson
Stewart Robertson has served on the board of directors of a number of public companies, including the board and audit committee of Sterling Centrecorp Inc., a company formerly listed on the TSX and in the business of acquiring and managing shopping centres. Mr. Robertson is the President of the Crerar Group of Companies. The Crerar Group is an active principal in the commercial real estate business in Canada and the U.S., with holdings including office, apartment, storage/warehousing, and retail buildings. Mr. Robertson also consults on structured mortgage and corporate acquisitions to various real estate entities.

Michael Atkinson
Mr. Atkinson is President and CEO of Earlston Investments Corp. Earlston is a well-capitalized merchant bank with a focus on providing debt to the real estate and resource sectors. He has over 25 years of expertise in the investment and venture capital industry. Previously Mr. Atkinson was Vice President of Quest Capital Corp. (TSX:QC), a company he helped start, where he was responsible for corporate communication and bridge lending activities. Within a five year period at Quest he was instrumental in expanding Quest’s market cap from $30M to over $450M. As a member of the Credit Committee at Quest, the committee funded over $1 billion in loans during his tenure. Mr. Atkinson’s understanding of the structuring of investments and project financing is a key asset in investment and mergers and acquisition efforts. Mr. Atkinson sits on various boards of directors in a diverse group of industries and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Western Ontario.

A. Murray Sinclair
With 35 years of business experience, Murray Sinclair has extensive knowledge in the areas of asset backed lending, corporate restructuring, natural resources and real estate. Since December 2013, Mr. Sinclair has served as the Chief Investment Officer for Earlston Investments Corp., a private investment company. Mr. Sinclair was a founder and, prior to it being taken private, the Chairman of Sprott Resource Lending Corp., a TSX Exchange and NYSE-MKT listed resource lending corporation. From 2003 – 2013, Mr. Sinclair also held various senior management positions with Quest Capital Corp. the predecessor Company to Sprott Resource Lending Corp. Mr. Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

John Downes
Mr. Downes is a Chartered Professional Accountant and also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria. Mr. Downes has 20 years of management and accounting experience in the natural resource and financial services sectors. Mr. Downes serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Earlston Investments Corp. Previously, he was the Manager of Financial Reporting for Sprott Resource Lending Corp. and has held various audit and consulting positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver and Dublin, Ireland.
Manager, Corporate Admin - Compliance Officer
Sandra Lee
Sandra Lee has worked in public company management and administration since 1996. Currently she is the Manager of Corporate Admin and the Compliance Officer of Earlston Investments Corp., a private merchant bank. Previously, Ms. Lee was the Corporate Secretary of several publicly traded companies including Sprott Resource Lending Corp., a resource lending company, between July 2003 and January 2011 and Kirkland Lake Gold Inc., an operating and exploration gold company, between February 1995 to February 2012. Prior to industry experience, Ms. Lee worked as a legal assistant for a number of national law firms in the areas of corporate and securities laws. Ms. Lee has a Legal Assistant certification from Capilano College and is a Member of the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Scott McLean
Scott McLean has been with Earlston Investments Corp. since August 2014 and serves as our Senior Vice President. Mr. McLean joined Earlston from Canaccord Genuity where he was a member of their research team covering the precious metals and mining sector, he also served in a similar role at Haywood Securities prior to joining Canaccord Genuity. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Mathematics and a Minor in Economics; he is also a CFA® charterholder.

Tim Joy
Tim Joy joined Earlston Investments Corp. in 2023 as our Senior Analyst, with previous experience in battery materials technology. Mr. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria with a Major in Financial Economics and a Minor in Mechanical Engineering.

Winnie Chu
Winnie Chu has been with Earlston Investments Corp., a private merchant bank, since 2014. Ms. Chu holds a financial management diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has more than 25 years’ experience with public companies. Ms. Chu serves as Accountant to Earlston.

Marissa Zagorsek has been with Earlston Investments Corp. since 2014 and serves as Executive Assistant to the directors and officers.

Lexus Whitmee
Lexus joined Earlston in 2024 as Executive Assistant. Lexus brings a blend of administrative expertise and a strong foundation in real estate and finance. She has earned her real estate license through UBC Sauder and completed the Canadian Securities Course, equipping her with a solid understanding of industry regulations and financial principles. In her role at Earlston, Lexus provides support with her attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring smooth operations and effective management of executive functions. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her two dogs, Leo and Chilli.
